As I was making an additional warlord npc I was informed that 3rd party material is not allowed. I have two reasons for why the content from path of war, and possibly other sources, should be allowed for use by players. The first is that I can safely say that everyone is aware of the powergap between casting classes and martial classes. The attempted fix at this, in 3.5 was Tome of Battle, which either everyone loved or hated. Those that hated it usually fell under the mindset that "martial classes cannot have nice things". For pathfinder, to remedy this problem, dreamscarred press published Path of War. It introduces 3 new classes along with a hand full of prestige classes all based on using maneuvers. In my opinion it succeeds in it's goal of shortening the gap between martials and casters. The second reason, and a much shorter one, is that all the information on the classes and maneuvers can easily be found on the pathfinder srd here

The removal of tax feats is a solid change that helps greatly at keeping martials on par with casters. I think there are some well balanced 3rd party classes but in the end its all based of the players and their general respect for the campaign,GM, and other players. I know dream scared made the psionics as well of which Ive played and make very fun gish characters.

I agree that the tax removal changes we decided to keep were probably the best route, as path of war just brings up issues of, "no point to play any martial pathfinder class cause path of war..."
