"My father said that they were cannon fodder at best. Hence why he was thankful to have a second son." He then pouted a little, "Especially since I wasn't manditorially recruited I was able to basically insure that he had someone who could do more than simple fighting." That said, he had to snort, "Well- about that... I think that they misconstrued monsters in the sewers as 'EVERYONE'S A DEMON'."
He had to look down, a shuddering breath ran through him. His first patient since he joined the dawn had become a TERRIFYING MONSTER OF THE COSMOS... He hadn't any idea how to breech this though, "It was... Trying." He took one very, very deep quaff of his ale. Murmuring something rather unkind to himself after he settled it down.

"Alexius has had the mandatory recruitment for a long time if I remember right, I am unsure because I don't pay much attention to many things. I am a Rosetinite, born there; raised there, lost my friends and family there because of stupid business practices..." He then gave a rather quizzical glance at Zandack, "Did you not know about the mandatory recruitment of all first born sons? That seems to be somewhat important to know." That being said; he did have to frown to himself a little bit as he settled down into another lengthy quaff of his ale. Murmuring lowly, "My brother certainly wouldn't mind having me hung now, especially after how I left..."

"For some it is." the laugh following this statement was mildly bitter. Even more so was when he drew out what was obviously his license, interestingly the degree itself was actually contained in the small billfold that contained his license. Now, he just seemed very amused by this, "I understand if you wish to hold on to these; but, I will have to ask you for them back later. As of now? I have to go inscribe these into my formulae book to insure maximum usage in my experiments." That said, he was already starting to stand, "I bid you both farewell..."
With that, he began to walk away; scrolls in hand- reasonably pleased to have had interactions outside of combat with others. It was a nice change of pace really; and it only furthered his research into the occult phenomena of his latent magical ability... This, this would take some time. (Nick is gone for now.)
